ELIZABETHTOWN (2005)

Cameron Crowe'un 2005 yapımı eşsiz eve dönüş filmi Elizabethtown'un Soundtrack'i de en az film kadar başarılı. Zaten filmde geçen müzikler izlerken insanın ruhunu okşuyor. Film bir yol filmi kimliğini de içten içe taşıyor. Uzun yolların vazgeçilmezi ve saatlerce direksiyon sallamayı çekilir kılan etkeni müziklerdir. Bir dönem karışık kasetler hazırlardık saatlerce uğraşıp. Parça geçişlerinden Slow-Ritmik parça dağılımına kadar en ufak detayları bile gözden geçirerek. Uzun yola çıkmadan albümler hazırlanır, müzik setlerinin kristalleri kolonyalanırdı. Şimdilerde 12 dakikada CD yakarak tüm o zevkli uğraşımızı elimizden alıyor bilgisayarlar. Gerçi Elizabethtown'da Claire'in hazırladığı gibi bir yol haritası ve yol müzikleri klavuzu hazırlamak da eğlenceli olsa gerek. Eğlencesini bilmiyorum ama Elizabethtown'ın bizler için seçtiği muazzam şarkılardan oluşan Soundtrack'i unutulacak cinsten değil.

Elizabethtown' un film müzikleri soundtrack koleksiyonum içinde hakettiği yeri almıştır. Burada benim gibi düşünen birini görünce sevindim açıkcası. Şarkılar baştan sona insanı içine alan yola çıkma arzusunu uyandıran bir dinlencelik.


Arabamda bu albümün bir yedeği vardır mutlaka evden işe işten eve kısa geliş gidişlerimde uzunbir yola çıkmış hissi verir.

Her ne kadar filmdeki gibi 'mükemmel bir şarkı listesi' oluşturacak bir kız arkadaşa sahip olmadığım için film boyunca sürekli 'drew' karakterini kıskanmış olsam da, ciddi anlamda hakkının yenilmemesi gereken bir albüm.

Albümde olmayan bir parçanın da unutulmaması gerek: u2'nun martin luther king jr.'a ithafen yazdığı pride (in the name of love) 'ı.

Ama albüm içerisinde, 'claire'in "bazı parçaları dinlemek için temiz hava gerekir, pencereni aç" dedikten sonra çalan 'don't i hold you' parçası benim için en değerlisidir.
